Verifying Pile Performance Under Load
Static load testing is a method used to assess how a pile performs when a controlled load is applied. It is one of the most reliable ways of evaluating pile behaviour and is often specified to confirm that a piled foundation meets the project's engineering and design requirements.
Unlike theoretical calculations alone, static load testing provides measured performance data from an installed pile under controlled conditions. The results help engineers verify that the foundation behaves as expected before the structure is constructed.
At a high level, static load testing provides additional confidence that the installed piles can perform in accordance with the approved foundation design.
