Project Description
Situated within an established residential setting, the project required a controlled foundation solution suitable for installation in close proximity to neighbouring properties. Steel Cased Driven piling was selected for its low vibration characteristics and reliable load performance, making it well suited to sensitive residential environments.
As standard procedure on all residential projects, protective measures were implemented prior to commencement of works. Temporary boarding was installed to safeguard windows and external finishes, while protective sheeting was used during concreting operations to maintain a clean and controlled working environment. This approach ensures the protection of the client’s property and reflects Capital Piling’s commitment to safe and professional site practice.
The piles were installed to an average design depth of approximately 6 metres, forming the primary structural support for the proposed works. A 250mm thick reinforced concrete raft was then constructed across 37.5m² to distribute structural loads efficiently across the pile network. Anti-heave precautions were considered within the overall foundation strategy to provide additional resilience against potential ground movement.
