Piling and foundation works carried out for a residential backland development at the rear of Mansfield Close, North London.
The scheme involved the construction of new residential units, requiring a piled foundation solution due to ground conditions and site constraints. Our scope included the installation of 45 Steel Cased Driven piles, followed by the construction of a 228 square metre reinforced concrete raft slab at 250mm thickness.
Working within a confined site surrounded by existing properties, the piling method was selected to allow for controlled installation while achieving the required load capacity.

About the Project
This project formed part of a new build residential development set behind existing housing, with access and working space limited throughout.
The foundation design required a piled solution to support the proposed structure. Steel Cased Driven piles were used to provide a consistent and reliable installation method suited to the ground conditions and site layout.
Once piling was complete, a reinforced concrete raft slab was constructed across the pile layout to tie the system together and distribute loads evenly across the foundation.
The works were carefully sequenced to suit the restricted nature of the site, with close coordination to ensure safe access, efficient installation and steady progress.
